In headless mode, could one start bCNC with Putty by typing $ python -m bCNC or $ bCNC -g 800X480? So far I have been unable to. The only way is through VNC, either by clicking on the shortcut icon or by opening the CMD window and typing one of the above commands.
Thank you in advance for any input.

Was not aware that you could run bCNC headless....
My understanding was that you need a screen for it.

Re: Headless bCNC operation
Sorry for the possible misnomer. What i meant by 'headless' is not physically attached to a raspberry screen, but accessed via putty ssh/vnc from a pc or laptop.

bCNC needs a screen to operate. So it will need to be VNC and it will only be able to run after connecting.
Not sure if Linux has a way to do that....

Re: Headless bCNC operation
Actually you are quite on the spot. bCNC starts only when remotely accessed via VNC. SSHing and the using then cli will not start bCNC. And one more caveat which answers my own question of sometime ago. Once you start bCNC and get the GUI on the screen, if you try to go full screen on you home computer, you end up loosing the bottom 40% of the bCNC GUI.
