Bcnc stays idle during get started

I have a pi 3b+
Using internal drivers
Have steppers connected
Have 12 v external power connected
I ran the serial ports setup from the desktop

What am I missing?

I have found that I cannot access the ardunio, both serial ports fail

I make my living supporting windows server so I compared access to ardunio I’m a windows 10 workstation and found that I have port problems on my Pi. My knowledge about Linux is limited and any recommendations would certainly be appreciated.

Did you use the standard RPi image we provide?

I have not been able to resolve this. It indicates That I cannot communicate with Ardunio.
