Pololu Driver sources (utter newbie etc)

Post by Nick_Taylor » Tue Jun 15, 2021 12:42 am

Hi all.

Nick Taylor here - Post #1.

I have a little 6040 machine, the desktop for which has just bitten the dust, and I'd like to get it running with a Raspberry Pi... at least partly because I have other projects that also require stepper control.

I have several Pis, and a Protoneer Hat... all the other bits - apart from Pololu drivers.

What do I need to get, and from where?

Photo of CNC machine attached.

Hi Nick,

https://learningdevelopments.co.nz/prod ... 2ac8&_ss=r
It use to be NiceGear.co.nz but they were bought out...

Other option is Trademe... Lots of clones out there that work fine.

I preffer the A4988 over the DRV8825 because they are easier to cool. Current wise they are very close...
