Auto Square

Post by cncguy » Wed Feb 06, 2019 6:30 pm

Hi,

I am needing help setting up auto square.

Setup: CNC Shield v3, Dual Y Motors using separate drivers, Y and A.

I am using end stops now, however, I only have one end stop wired for the first Y motor that uses the Y driver. I would like to use a second end stop for the other Y motor that is connected to the A driver. This way it will auto square. How do I go about wiring that on the shield and configuring that in GRBL?

Thank you for your help.

The Y end stops on the board have two sets of end stop connectors per axis. Just use the second one...

Hi,

Thank you for the reply. I know about the 2 end stop pins per axis. I guess this is more of a software issue? As in, how to setup the software to use the second end stop pin for the cloned motor.

Thank you.

Yes.... GRBL only has one end-stop pin per axis.
