Hai
I am looking for a way to compensate for backlash. I have found two software preprocessors and studying how to integrate them with USG. But currently I am studying the possibility of the direct add steps into the driver chip by manipulating the micro steppen. By dynamic changing between 1/4 1/8 or 1/16 steppen size it seems possible with the help of a micro processor to add steps on the hardware level. Is there any experience with this way of solving the problem or reducing the backlash. It is possible to feed this micro processor with fixed value's or connect it to a linear decoder

Backlash compensation
Re: Backlash compensation
Hi
First of you to do this you need to know how much backlash. Then you need to know the total backlash of all axis and compensate accordingly. Do know that it would differ in previous and new travel directions. It would be pretty advanced to it. May God be on your side if you have 5 axis
