What else are you having problems with?
I am using my Protoneer on my own 3D printed CNC laser design. It's working perfect so far, just waiting on the laser driver to come off of backorder to be able to finish the project.

Re: Case, final version
Is there any particular reason that you want to use a Pi4 vs the 3B+? I have yet to have any issues with the 3B+ in any projects and they are cheaper too.

Re: Case, final version
I found a few models on grabcad, but they are not perfect. When I overlay one onto the Pi3b that I know fits like a glove (and that I personally measured to make sure they are right) several things don't line up that should. Really hard to say what all has been moved without having a real unit in my...

Re: Case, final version
Looks like you have a printer or filament issue. What material did you use? Maybe you need to print a little hotter so they have better layer adhesion? That has never happened to me in the many different times I have printed the case. (I had to do this multiple times to get everything absolutely per...

Re: Case, final version
Those are just simple and very common 2.54mm header pin connectors. I use 1pc 2x3 and 1pc 2x5 along with 90 degree double row pin headers. You can get these just about anywhere with and without wire already attached to the connectors. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=2.54+header+connectors&crid=35E5RKOYWJ...

Ok guys, sorry it took so long! Here is the link to my updated final release Pi/Protoneer case with details on what you will need. Please do not share this outside of the Protoneer forum, I have spent a very long time designing and perfecting this! http://www.hughlett.net/Pi%20Case.zip (This is my p...

Re: Case, final version
Nice job. Is it on thingiverse yet? Sorry, I have not been on here in a while so I'm just seeing this post. I haven't put anything on Thingiverse in a while because they screwed up much of the site and it rarely even works for me now. If you still would like to have the case send me your email and ...

Re: Clone drive direction
I was confused BEFORE I found this old post, now I REALLY confused!!! So let's say I want to clone my Y axis, your telling me I MUST solder both jumper pads? What if one of my motors is running backwards, I cannot simply change the direction by either soldering or unsoldering the DIR jumper pad? (is...

Re: Trinamic Drivers
I can confirm that TMC2209 drivers do in fact work without any modifications to anything. And they are insanely quiet! You cannot even hear the motors.

Power options
To rephrase my question, is there a better way to power the Pi/Hat than going through the tiny micro USB connector? Talking specifically about the 5v side itself, not the power for the drivers/motors.
